MAY 2019: Thousands relocated as out-of-control wildfire threatens Albertan community

Thousands of Albertans are out of their homes after being chased from the community of High Level by an out-of-control wildfire. Many of the evacuees have retreated to Slave Lake, a community that knows all too well how devastating Alberta’s wildfire season can be.
